If both sides are not so divided , then , there won't be a case in the first place. It will surprise me if they are not so divided in each of their final filings !!!!You are trying to smoke again.

John - c'mon - based on recent events of free internet; free applications; free operating systems; etc... do you really think Clintonista DOJ even have a chance against MSFT?

- I think that MSFT makes a run for $125 to $150 now - thanks to the fact that we're just waiting for the fat lady to sing.

johnd: The findings when reduced to black and white print show clearly that MSFT has the upper hand. The government hand is like reading a collection of Drudge Reports regarding postings on the MSFT bathroom wall whereas MSFT uses the governments words and testimony to prove that the DOJ has no case in law. That is why SUNW and AOL have let the cat out of the bag by introducing their new initiatives which prove competition is alive and well. The recent shakeup at AOL is quite revealing; hinting that things are not going all that great in the anti MSFT camp (translates to nothing great being developed on the NSCP browser front and NSCP NetCenter is a joke).

The acrimony comes from the baselessness of the government charges . It is akin to Mr. Rogers being accused of being a pedaphile - the government charges and proposed remedies are so outrageous and bizarre that their is no room for compromise. JFD
