BoE to auction 25 tonnes of gold on Sept 21 LONDON (AFX) - The Bank of England said it will auction on behalf of the Treasury of approximately 25 tonnes of gold on September 21. The auction is the second of a five-auction series in which the BoE is to sell 125 tons of gold on the Treasury's behalf for the financial year 1999/2000. The first auction took place on July 6, at which a price of 261.20 usd was achieved.
