with the intention of
indoctrinating them with the notion that England is the superior country in the world and as
such deserves to rule the world.

Not indoctrinating. You indoctrinate people into falsehoods. You simply teach them the Truth.

I think England would be surprised to hear of its revitalization as a leader on the world stage. There are so few Rhodes scholars in the world, and I don't think they leave Oxford with a chip implanted in their heads, and arms outstretched, mindlessly muttering: "England must rule! England must rule!" England is our closest traditional ally, and though we are two people divided by a common language, it seems natural that we would often march in lockstep on international political issues. Many in England actually believe that the U.S. has effectively Finlandized them over the years, although this is an exaggeration. I know that many here have good reasons to dislike England, but I think their days as a real world power, directly or through proxies, have passed.
