Broadcom Corporation Tops Orange County Companies

With Five-Year Revenue Growth of Nearly 5,480 Percent The fastest-growing technology companies were
recognized by Deloitte & Touche LLP at an awards banquet held September 9 at the Marriott's Laguna Cliffs
Resort in Dana Point. Called the "1999 Orange Coast Technology Fast 50," the annual awards program ranks
technology companies located in Orange and San Diego counties by revenue growth over a five year period. Of
the 50 companies honored this year, 22 were based in Orange County. The fastest growing company in
Orange County, and at number two overall, was Broadcom Corp., with a five-year revenue growth of nearly
5,480 percent. The company develops highly integrated silicon solutions that enable broadband digital
datatransmission to the home and within the business enterprise. "Being named a Fast 50 winner is a
testament to each company's leadership and its ability to not only have the right solution at the right moment, but
also the vision that allows growth over five years," said Fred Poska, partner, Orange County Technology Group,

I've updated my analysis of upside potential for selected tech stocks followed by ML. The weakness in BRCM places it as third-highest among the enterprise hardware, chip, and chip equipment stocks.
