How was the crowd at the Derby?

Oh well, since its Sunday.

I took my grand daughter, age 12, to the "Satin Ballroom", in Culver City, last night, to dance until midnight to Bill Elliott's big band, and then to an "after hours" place, "Memories", in Anaheim, to dance until 2:30. By the time she hits 13 next summer, she will be a "jaded roue"! :0)

"Memories", the after hours place, is a teen-age hangout. She was dancing with kids from 12 to into their 20's. This place draws 200 to 300 "Swing Kids", 3 nights a week, as late as 3am on Saturday, with no problems, and not even one security guard! You could not get away with this with any other type of teen-age crowd, anywhere in the country.
