Yes, Larry, it turned out that way. However, I believe the co. really thought they could "beat the clock" when the deal was signed. It's possible, though, that Mr. Archibald and/or others had subsequent "second thoughts". The timing of his departure is interesting if not suggestive.
The new CFO is a sharp cookie. Also, it would seem the co. is on the verge of dealing from strength. Dare I say "cusp"?
