Inutit - raising capital for CKFR?

The recent 3:1 split announcement by INTU caught me by surprise. INTU currently has 63 million out standing shares, has only split once in 1995 (2:1), and has been at least 10 percent higher back in Apr and did not split at that time.

IMO INTU is printing stock certificates to finance future acquisitions. Since they own 20% of CKFR it is a prime candidate.

Having owned a fair amount of this stock and having participated in the CKFR IPO I would be in favor of a buy out. CKFR is a good company with a great product but something has been amiss with this company and Wall ST. It may perform and be accepted under the umbrella of a corporation like INTU or ORCL both of which are highly involved with the evolution of E-Comerence.

I think a buy out is likely and would be beneficial to shareholders. Riding this stock since 10/95 has been profitable but not without the price of extreme volatility. Will this stock be an AOL or an EBAY? The market has already said no.

We will see. I plan to hold this stock for several more years. I use their service and believe in their company. However my strong feelings can not propel this stock to the heights of EBAY, YHOO, or AOL.

A buy out by a larger company with brand name recognition and deep pockets may facilitate the evolution of this company.

I have read this board daily for a number of years (yes the former SI CKFR board as well) and welcome your thoughts on this.

There is one other possibility for the stock-- Once the magic of E-Bill gets the media attention it deserves the resulting mania propels the stock to $250/sh over 2 months in Net Bank like fashion. I like this ending the best.
