OT Hey, the Kingfish is one of our GREATEST! Born in Winnfield, La. (where I went to grade and high school BTW). When he went to DC he "appointed" O.K. Allen as governor (O.K. Allen is also from Winnfield). As a matter of fact, my mother wrote many of O.K.'s speaches. Then we of course had Earl K. Long from Winnfield and many others too numerous to name. EVERY major bridge in La has a sign that says "Built under the administration of Gov. Huey P. Long or Gov. O.K. Allen". The only exceptions are the ones built when the interstate hwy system was built. I can remember as a kid(telling my age) mother and daddy taking us to the political speaches given on the court house square in Winnfield. Was quite a show. I mean they gave away candy, had bands, and told lies. It was great. At least you knew what they were back then. Today they are the same but sneekier.
