Technologyguy objected to the survey for reasons that weren't clear, but criticized "them/they" for printing it and me for posting it.

David objected to the survey because good software measurement isn't possible (as yet) when measurement along a continuum towards completion wasn't the focus of the study but rather the percentage/number of systems completed and implemented was.

I'm certain the intent of the Securities Industry Association and the International Operations Association set out to provide "fully baked" information as best they could.

I find it informative that they couldn't produce it and that what information/numbers were produced by those participating was...well, cr@ppy. I feel that I am more knowledgeable re: the remediation status of the global securities industry than someone who never read the article and that gives me better control over my investments where the readiness of the securities industry is highly suspect (for lack of information if nothing else)in a market atmosphere approaching mania.

(I have two ADRs. I'd better pay attention to the situation with foreign securities dealers.)

As I said before the study says what it says. If find that is "says" something to me.

Ignore it to your benefit or peril.

I don't have a shrink nor do I feel that I need one.

Should some posters choose to discuss it with their respective shrinks no doubt the first words out their doctor's mouth will be something like, "No need to worry. My billing system is y2k compliant."

So much for professional help.
