How many wafers per week was that?

What happened to 5,000 or 5,500?

Re: "It already is so, Intel has nothing to compete with the Athlon. Let's hope Coppermine will come close. No?
Maybe since it's performance may be behind Athlon, Intel can make up the difference with a lower price. Wish the first Coppermines were a slot 1, I'd get me one. My Celeron is a great chip. But I think Intel is the ship taking on a little water, but we will all have to wait to see where it leads. "

You might be in for a surprise shortly Steve.... But keeping to true AMD form, AMD is poised to once again post huge losses and you see Intel as the ship taking on water! You are an "Investing Genius" (tm Yousef.)

They are. Socketmine won't be out until early 2000.

Steve, re:Intel can make up the difference with a lower price.

I think many on this thread will be surprised by how agressiveley Intel will price Coppermine..and also by its performance & scalability. Athlon had its chance IN JUNE and now, well....
