Options are a big factor, which your equation should include. If you did, the numbers would come a lot closer, even comparing against Watehouse.

The account is not meant for daytrading, but if you did trade actively and left a lot in cash, your fee would be much smaller, down to as little as $2,500/year for an all cash position in a 1M account (a dumb idea).

Lastly, of course, Waterhouse has no Visa fee rebate program that I'm aware of.
