I have had mixed experiences with volunteers in various settings, but generally it is true that they do not appreciate the seriousness of a promise, and give their word casually. Since one of the main components of honor is the notion that one's word is one's bond, and can be relied upon, this is to me a key index of the deterioration of the "sense of honor", and the way in which it vitiates trust, thus damaging society....

Oh, I didn't understand or state it right, people would honor their commitment.

I pay $8,000 per year on the local level for education and have never had a child. I'm paying 8 large for some one else's kids. Year after year and I'm told I should spend more. May be the parents of the children should pay something. Geez, they had the orgasms.
