Caxton: Agree on tsunami potential. India will not permit much in the way of real competition of course and the rules and regulations are designed more to enforce government control and permit payoffs for "service" - issuing permits etc. than to protect consumers who suffer not gain.

But India is a fascinating straw in the wind. If even ultra socialist India is beginning to think about permitting CDMA, then we are in the CDMA acceptance end game IMO.

Europe will be the last to permit CDMA of any flavor of course but the India news is significant not for real sales but for "face".

Since our leader is leaning over backwards re China, CDMA's prospects there seem a bit brighter too.

The world is an interesting place, no?

<< Oh my, the tsunami is swelling. India and Vod/Bell Atlantic deal are huge. Another very positive item is the Sprint PCS/Nokia ...>>

Great analogy, Caxton. Glad I am riding the crest rather than relaxing on the beach waiting for a *better price*. Expansion of CDMA is starting to move by leaps and bounds, rather than like an inchworm. Would anyone like a little "T"? ; ) ...Tim
