I happened into a bookstore once, and chanced upon a copy of DeSade that was dog-eared and thumbed through almost to the point of disintegration. Charley, was that your place?

I served on our public library board. We had one trustee who was gung ho anti any kind of censorship at all (I'm pretty anti censorship myself, but...). We were discussing whether any books should be kept in an adult only section and he was adamantly against it. Then I handed him a copy of DeSade to read. He changed his mind in a hurry.
