manipulation of god's word?... clearly this has happened repeatedly in history. the first and second vatican council underline the point... but a stern taskmaster? no. this is a god i cannot believe in. a non interference god, who lets us choose and decide for ourselves what and who we are? that had decided in the moment of creation that we were capable of taking care of ourselves, and knowing full well that we would fail as often as we suceeded? that we would have the opportunity to learn through our actions and the consequences thereof? a god who RESPECTS us? yes, by god. yes, a creator/lifeforce/goddess/superbeing/GOD who loved his creation so much that he's left it to find itself alone through the millennia, and who also wanted to truly discover us.
