re: why couldn't god put fossils in the fossil record, and make them seem older than the world...and why couldn't G_d change the decay rate of Carbon over between Noah's flood and now. from the Los Angeles Times: "The publisher of an upcoming textbook on the history of Kansas deleted the first chapter, which covered the state's geology, for fear that the descriptions of fossils many millions of years old would disturb creationist..." What about teaching astronomy in Kansas? Can't have light coming from stars hundreds of thousands to Billions of light years away when the universe is only 10,000 years old. BTW according to the same article, a Republican state rep. has introduced a Bill making the study of evolution a requirement for admission to any Kansas state university.
