Some people on the AMD thread are siding with Sanders on this one. They say they're glad to see Raza leave considering he felt that way about AMD's expensive Dresden fab.

I can see what Raza was thinking, though. The Dresden fab may rake in the big bucks in the short term if AMD can achieve the volumes on Athlon. But longer term, the cost of maintaining and upgrading that fab could be murder for a "one-trick pony" company like AMD.
