an ability created within us that only reacts to the changes of our environment. Such an ability is pretty much the definition of life. That's what evolution is all about - living, reproducing entities reacting to their environment. Goal directed evolution is not only possible but has been practiced since the first domesticated animals. Advances in gene manipulation will soon make the creation of new species commonplace. Still, these activities leave evidence behind. The idea that humans are the result of goal directed breeding fails the Occom Razor test, it is an extra step in the history that is not necessary to explain the evidence. TP
