College Marketing Program Will Use Student Network to Reach $90 Billion Market
BOSTON and SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 1999--Offering companies of all sizes a unique entry into the substantial, but tough-to-crack college market, The Magma Group has signed MyPoints.com (Nasdaq:MYPT - news), a leading provider of Internet direct marketing, incentive and loyalty products, for its college-oriented marketing initiative. According to the terms of the deal, The Magma Group will use its Team Magma network of over 4,000 collegiate organizations nationwide to sign up students to MyPoints.com's Internet direct marketing rewards program, MyPoints (www.mypoints.com).

Team Magma will market the MyPoints Program to students on campuses nationwide, offering incentives and running special events to encourage memberships. The MyPoints Program rewards consumers for reading and responding to advertisements by email and on the Web at www.mypoints.com. For their efforts, Team Magma members will earn commissions that can be used for fundraising purposes. The Magma Group will also donate a percentage of proceeds to a charity of the participating organization's choice.
