First Security Van Kasper Announces "Companies for the New Millennium" Conference Online Registration Available Via New Web Site Launched Today

Security Van Kasper today announced its annual growth conference,
"Companies for the New Millennium," will be held at The Ritz-Carlton
Hotel in San Francisco on October 4-5, 1999.
The fifth annual gathering of an expected 300-plus portfolio managers
from throughout the United States will hear presentations from more
than 80 publicly traded companies. Attendees will be able to register
for the conference utilizing First Security Van Kasper's new Web site,
launched today.

Kasper said the company's new Web site, www.fsvk.com, is an interactive
tool that enables the firm's clients the ability to access their
accounts via the Internet free of charge, view their securities
positions, follow the status of open orders and communicate with
brokers via email. It also addresses compliance regulations.
First Security Van Kasper, founded in 1978, is an investment banking,
private client and institutional brokerage firm with offices in San
Francisco, Los Angeles, San Jose, Fresno, Walnut Creek, Sacramento, San
