I don't think this is such a major event. Cowen is not a top tier financial institution. Also, we don't know that the did not inform conference organizers.

My guess, the Cowen analyst was taking things out of context in downgrading the stock last week so QCOM is boycotting them<G>.

Agreed. Could you imagine the best salesman in America, John Chambers(CSCO), not having someone avaiable for a major event? I don't buy Mr. Granis' answer.
