johnd, IMHO MSFT looks strong going into options expiration. It held up pretty well today. THe news releases by MSFT about Windows2000 developers---the new web strategy---video games.
These should help support the stock going into Friday.

Good Luck.
I am considering a short term options play---possibly the September 95 calls depending upon how the next 2 days play out.

My personal bet is that we close the week stronger or pegged to 95. Lots of MSFT stock will be called from the 11 point rise since August expiration. Very few shares will be put. To me this seems likely to exert some upward pressure.

Of course, if CPI comes in at .8% the rest is irrelevant.
