Re IMDS: Can't help wondering if the problem is that all we're talking about here is a patent -- which isn't necessarily that hard to get -- relating to a PROCEDURE that has not actually yet received FDA approval. If I understand things correctly (always a dubious assumption), the company can't really see any financial benefits from all this unless/until ALL elements of the procedure get the FDA's okay...
