Yes Cheryl,
I remember clearly that Addi saw MSFT eventually becoming a sort of "subsidiary" of SUNW. He had great foresight. He meant that to reflect the eventual success of the server centric / thin-client network that SUNW was creating. MSFT would find a growing amount of its revenue would have to shift from the desktop and come from network applications utilizing JAVA. Good for SUNW, good for MSFT, but MSFT would no longer be playing to a monopoly and would have to compete head to head with other software companies. The computing model MSFT was following, however, would be SUNW's utilizing java.

If SUNW's Sun Ray HOT DESK architecture succeeds, as I believe it must, MSFT must focus part a part of its business on providing software to this model, i.e. network applications like StarOffice-- the Microsoft Office Portal perhaps.

He also said MSFT would take over the highways that digital info would travel. Could this be CSCO's announcement of liaison with MSFT on it new IP initiative?
