survival of the fittest This phrase was not used by Darwin, It is a term used by Spencer to support his message of racial dominance. Darwin wrote that evolution is not directed. The next population is not always better than the last, sometimes it's just dumb luck as to who reproduces and who dies. Still, the fittest have a tendancy to reproduce better when all other considerations are equal. TP

re: "Evolution is falsifiable" 2)the biblical and big bang theories, are just that, theories you cannot prove or disprove either one False False False! Evolution can be falsified. It made a ton of predictions which later observations supported. If the observations did not support the theory, it would have been discarded. For example, For Darwin's theory to be correct, a common genetic mechanism is needed for all living things. It wasn't until the 1950's that Watson and Crick won the Nobel prize for discovering DNA, the common genetic mechanism used for pretty much all living things. If they instead found DNA for humans, another mechanism XYZ for monkeys and yet another mechanism XWY for plants Darwin's theory of evolution would have been disproven. 3)if darwin was correct in his "survival of the fittest" why are there still stupid people If God is so great, why do fundamentalists keep saying that evolution is not falsifiable when it clearly is. (Rhetorical question) 1) if you believe in an all-knowing god, you would have to believe in predetermination Not necessarily. If God chooses to sit on the sidelines and allow free will to work, not everything is predetermined. This is very complicated subject. Different churches have a wide spectrum of opinions on how to balance free will versus predestination.

stupidity in one person can be overcome by intelligence and strength in it's peers. as per predestination/free will... all knowing, all powerful, all everything and anything you want to use to fill in the blank here etc..., vs i can do anything i want, and it's me deciding... if it looks like a fish, smells like a fish, feels like a fish, and tastes like a fish, and has the genetic coding of fish, does it matter whether it is a figment of your imagination or will you just eat it?
