Re: Former Backup GB QB's..............If you want Doug Pedersen back, please take him. He'll be backing up McNabb by October 15. Detmer was a flash in the pan in Philly and was pretty ineffective last night against the Steelers. Pedersen proved yesterday that he should be a 3rd string QB and Rick Mirer will take the Jets down the toilet with Vinny out for the season. The bottom line is besides Brunnell, none of Favre's former backups have panned out and are capable of being NFL caliber starters.
