I agree this is huge. The best possible scenario for COMS shareholders, provided the stock market holds together until the IPO and distribution of Palm shares.

As far as wall street reaction, I would not expect WS to digest the news for a while. The problem is that there are no hard numbers from respectable official WS sources -- I have numbers, but they are not very respectable <g>. The only number I keep hearing and reading about is that "Palm accounts for only 10% of COMS revenues", a highly misleading statement that obscures the spectacular growth in both Palm sales and profits.

My guess is that after the earnings are released and Palm numbers separated out, WS will start figuring out what Palm is worth. A few days after that, the recommendations and upgrades will start in earnest and the stock will take off.

The AnalCysts have been wrong and it is only a matter of time that we will prove most of them have Cysts on their Anal orifices. How can we expect these crooks to give us any impartial recommendations when every thing they do is biased toward their own portfolios.

I was listening to an AnalCyst on CNNfn from BankBoston who appeared to be incredibly lost as to 3Com current position and had no clue of 3Com's future potential in Broadband and Wireless. It is individuals like this that have spun an unfair picture of 3Com's true potential.
