Re:"Intel Envy"

Oh yes, we AMDroids envy anyone that bought into INTC on Friday and lost 3 points today.

We can relate.

Paul,

What are your sources telling you regarding camino/DRDRAM performance.

Are Dell/Apex/Toms data BS or is it real.

regards,

Kash

RE <<<Perhaps you were only "imagining" you own Intel stock - you know - "Intel Envy" - very, very common amongst the AMDroids.>>>

You go on and on citing % gains for intc and it means nothing. Envy intc and its price action? I don't think so....there is nothing to envy. Let's check out how intc's recent performance compares to others:

Cy...a company that Charles told us he made a nice profit on; let's see how it does up against intc:

techstocks.com

Beats intc handily.

Let's try another chip stock that I (as well as Charles I think) realized profits:

techstocks.com

Again intc gets beat.

How about a chip stock that trades in the same price range as intc:

techstocks.com

intc gets destroyed.

What about a non semi that is doing well, ADIC:

techstocks.com

Not even in the same league. And the period for these comparisons is in the last 100 days when intc finally was doing something after a nothing first half. I did not realize how easy it was to find stocks that outperformed intc. I could go on and on forever.

In fact if you compared intc to the Nasdaq, you'd find that intc barely matched it during the period. In other words intc's gains are very average for the Nasdaq....translation: intc is a laggard; in a year where you yourself said that intc was making record profits. Not very impressive.

I wasn't investing in stocks when you were making "all your millions with intc". It may have been a great stock at that time but based on its current performance, intc is not worth putting my $ into. About the only stock of note that intc beats in the price performance category, is AMD and AMD has much greater upside. And lets not forget, AMD has THE FASTEST CHIP IN ALL THE LAND and will be FASTEST even when an intc chip has more MHz (see the links in my AM posting on the intc thread.)

That makes all your boasts re huge percentage returns with intc sound ridiculous. You only flaunt them on this thread because its about the only thread on which you can't be challenged. In other words you are a POSTING BULLY and eventually you won't be able to do that on the AMD thread either.

And then what will you do....You might consider horseshoes.

ted

BTW I would have posted this info on the intc thread but I was concerned about intc's price movement tomorrow; after all it dropped 3 today.

Like I said, you are get old and forgetful. Why don't you take some time off before ending up like Dan Dorfman.
