Smyth, President and Director of Unitec International Controls Corporation is pleased to announce that the Company has signed an agreement with the Bank of Nova Scotia to provide financing and leasing of its SCADA systems for customers in Canada. The minimum financing or lease size will be $100,000, with approval on systems up to $250,000 within two business days. Approval for SCADA systems valued over $250,000 will be provided in five business days. The term of the lease or financing will be negotiated to suit the customer's needs and will bear interest which reflects current Bank rates for its most valued customers. Initially, the Company will offer this program for municipal water and sewer SCADA systems, but expects to expand it in the future to cover other utilities and resource customers. The Bank will provide lease and financing training for Unitec's sales, marketing and administration personnel. Unitec currently has municipal water systems installed with the City of Burnaby, City of New Westminster, City of Abbotsford, City of Coquitlam Central Fraser Valley Regional District, Parksville Regional District and other municipalities in Canada, United States, Brazil, Hong Kong, and United Arab Emirates. Unitec also regrets to advise the resignation of Rob Dardi as a Director. Mr. Dardi has been an enthusiastic and positive contributor to the development of the Company and will be greatly missed by the management, staff and other directors.
