Zbyte: First of all, I agree with you (except for the part about "liking the guy"). However, we have to separate the issues here. Let's just ignore Sam for now.

John's point is well taken concerning the need for training the sales force. We can't make assumptions that the cards are going to sell themselves. I have explained the card concept to people and came to find out later that they did not actually understand what I was explaining. Did I do a crappy job? Perhaps.

Obviously, TSIG can't be everywhere at once to explain the concept over and over. Hopefully, they won't need to. Once the schools find out how much money they can make, it would behoove them implement some training to make sure that the "troops" understand what they are selling.

I am optimistic about business model. But it is not a "no-brainer". It will take some brains to make it work...

Zbyte,

<<It seems you have only been around a short time and no idea of the people history on this thread.>>

Well, I've owned TSIG since May, 1998, and been an SI member and posting on this thread for about the same time. Does that qualify me as a rookie?

<<I just wished you knew what you were talking about when it comes to Sam.>>

Zbyte, here's what I do know about Sam. He is loud, rude, arrogant, vulgar, a clown and shoots from the hip a lot. I also know is a good parent, gets involved with his kid's activities, shows a lot of enthusiasm, and gives 100% when he believes in something. He was also treated very badly by TSIG. He fairly represents many of the types of parents who contribute their time to fundraising. And finally, his has always been straight with me when communicating by PM.

I posted almost exactly this same information on the thread in early June of this year. You must have missed it.

Now just exactly what is it I don't know when it comes to talking about Sam?

I do know that I wouldn't make investment decisions based on Sam's advice.

John
