130K net new subscribers is very impressive for August, considering it is a big vacation month and most people are doing other things besides buying TV equipment. Probably indicates growth in autumn will be even stronger. Too bad they did not hit the "launch" button a few days ago and blast off Echostar V before the hurricane got too close. But I think that DISH does not even own the satellite yet, it is owned by News Corp or their contractor until it is successfully in orbit and operating, and it is insured. However, if V blew up on launch, that would slow down DISH growth plans until a new satellite could be obtained and launched. ILG (long at $40, 63, 79)
