In the passage you quoted, Paul was arguing with some of his fellow Jewish Christians (known to Christian scholars as Judaizers) who were contending that both Jews and Gentiles needed to follow traditional Jewish religious laws - the dietary laws, for example, in order to be Christians. Paul was arguing against that viewpoint. He was not telling the Jewish Christians that they HAD to drop all Jewish customs and practices in order to be Christians. You seem to be taking Paul's arguments farther than he did and in so doing aren't you in essence dictating to fellow Christians what practices they can and can't follow? Which is, of course, what the Judaizers did? Think for a moment - logically if requiring "practice A" is "works", then forbidding "practice A" is also "works".

Now, back on the subject of preterism. I have another question - When do preterists believe the battle of Armageddon occurred? Your response is appreciated.
