<:) to all of you that are long.> long live to you too, Mehrdad ! Rah! Rah! Rah! The timing of this announcement is interesting indicating : 1. E.Ric wants to build up momentum towards earning which is next Tuesday. They took the big risk of ignoring the quiet period to announce this significant news. 2. Revenue from palm must be decent for them to make this annoucement confidently 3. Revenue from rest of networking divsions shouldn't be too bad or else they wouldn't want to highlight the point that the rest of the company is shrinking. The rest of the company better shows some growth otherwise this spin-off amounts to absoulutely bad timing - which I don't believe it is. 4. they met earning last qtr, so one more good qtr will be two in a row and enough to do wonder to the stock price 5. there are really an avalanche of mergers going on these days and the pressure is building up to a bursting point for a serious guy to stand up and make an offer we all can't refuse - like $52 Mang
