NYSE is testing the 200 day MA again. I thought that the NYSE would be a good representation of how the whole market is doing because it represents a great variety of companies. However, there is significant divergence between the Nasdaq (Strong) and the NYSE (Weak). The Nasdaq companies now represent a significant part of the economy compared with the NYSE companies. I'm wondering now if the NYSE could enter a bear market while the Nasdaq continues to make new highs.

I moved my chart to a new web site. I will try to keep it up to date. I'm wondering if a similar analysis of the Nasdaq would be useful. I am really starting to believe that the divergence will continue.
