Dwane,

Thank you so much for your input. I immediately went to the site, after seeing your message, and, lo and behold! many -- although by no means all -- of the links were working. (And yes, I do know Russian.) So, the problems here may just be the kind of glitches one should expect from moving to a new site. At the same time, however, some sort of foul play/official interference may also be involved here. The site can still not be accessed from the major Russian search engine,Rambler, and although until recently it was one of the most popular sites in Russia, according to Rambler's rating service (based on number of hits), it has disappeared altogether from the ratings.

About Albert Digayev: I know him, and have been more or less in constant touch with him the past couple of weeks. That is how I know what has been happening. He is just a young computer science student, who recently was given political asylum here. So, when he did not answer either my repeated e-mails or my phone calls yesterday, I figured he might just have gone "underground" temporarily, scared witless of the FBI coming after him. That is why, looking for SOME sort of answer, I posted my question on SI.

Turns out Albert may just have gotten impatient with answering questions from computer morons like myself. :-)
