RE: <My question is, "Are all the spec results and comparisons that we have been reading about from all sources SIMULATIONS?">

I think that you are referring to the benchmaking results showing up that show Rambus being very disappointing. These are Tom, Dell Bell, and "got apex" and maybe Anand is hinting at the same thing. These are not simulations, they are actual tests. Results are so strange, however, that most people are wondering if they're not too bad to be true. While it seems pretty clear that the tests were actually run it is possible that something is wrong. Possibilities are early Camino chip, bad driver, etc. It is all quite amazing and if it turns out that nothing is wrong and the tests actually represent the real story then look out below for rmbs.

But it is likely that something will turn up soon to show that something is wrong in these early systems so don't slash your wrists yet.

(By the way, I think that Sharyextreme is trying to get an indication of how a faster system would run by overclocking a slower system. This is not what the other guys did.)
