Harbinger Creates E-Commerce Interface With Standard Methodology for SAP Automotive Solutions

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 1999--Harbinger(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:HRBC), a worldwide supplier of Electronic Commerce software, services and solutions, announced today at SAPPHIRE(R) '99 that it has completed a standardized methodology that speeds the integration of E-Commerce applications and SAP Automotive(tm) solutions.

The solution includes Harbinger TrustedLink(tm) software, SAP(tm) R/3(R) applications and recently developed standard interface technology for SAP Automotive solutions.

Harbinger is currently working with Delphi Automotive Systems (NYSE:DPH), a world leader in automotive components and systems technology, to implement an E-Commerce solution that incorporates standard interface technology and a pre-configured client from SAP AG (NYSE:SAP) with Harbinger's E-Commerce translation, mapping and communications software. Following the standardized methodology, automotive suppliers can effectively streamline E-Commerce processes, eliminate duplication and simplify electronic trading between internal divisions and external trading partners.

"This new concept will help SAP's Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive industry customers, and those of Harbinger, to significantly streamline implementation of Electronic Commerce throughout their trading community and provide considerable reductions in associated costs and resources," said Michael Morris, Solutions Architect, SAP. "The SAP R/3 4.5 release has new features that will technologically place Tier 1 and Tier 2 Electronic Commerce programs way ahead of the competition," continued Morris.

"The Delphi solution demonstrates Harbinger's capacity to address multi-level enterprise requirements with just the right mix of E-Commerce products and services," said James Rush, Harbinger, Senior Director, Strategic Alliances. "We have a longstanding history of success within the automotive industry and with SAP, both of which will enable Delphi and other automotive suppliers to realize their priorities for global, fast-to-market E-Commerce trading solutions."

Harbinger was chosen for its compatibility and certification with the SAP R/3 inter-enterprise business solution. Harbinger was among the first E-Commerce companies to be SAP certified and has worked together with SAP on several strategic projects, including its Harbinger Knowbility(tm) (electronic catalog) integration, industry initiatives for the Apparel and Footwear Consortium and application link-enabled (ALE) integration.

TWE looks like it may have hit bottom...a few million shares volume and a few positive PRs look pretty good to me...

Also, nibbling on a little TRAC under $10 here and there...very responsive...$10 holding well so far...not the highest quality stock on the block, but many using their service really like it, advertising campaign around the corner and the float is the 'right size'...
