Form C.O to POP: It goes over a -most probably- oversubscribed DS-3.
Agreed, I think we can do well without another acronym.

Frank,
Just finished reading an unGodly amount of posts, trying to become steeped in the "last mile" paradigm. My eyes are draging on the floor. Preponderance of the posts are on cable and DSL. Not much discussion on point to multipoint wireless, unless my blurry eyes missed it.

Lucent is not aligned with just DSL companies. Also has a strategic (?) alliance with a broadband wireless OEM, NTRO, which seems to be doing well in Europe and SA.

Any comments on the market size of broadband wireless vs DSL for the next 2-3 years? And I'm unsure of the frequency ranges that will be the most promising. Does this sound like I need a "Broadband 101" course? :)

And of course I could really use a comparison of the major players in this arena!
