kap,

Actually I've been impressed with the acuracy (for mike magee that is) of AMD related news that Mike Magee has been posting lately. However, I'm not sure this 700Mhz part story is complete... feels like something is missing..

As many of you know I like to play with numbers. I can calculate revenues from Athlon sales could reach between $100,000,000 to $200,000,000 depending on events beyond AMD's control: MoBo availability and speed of final product into the channels. They could also be much less. What else is new?

If the higher numbers are in the offing, AMD may be compelled to issue an advanced positive earnings advisory.

Regards,

DARBES

Kap,

Re:"700Mhz Athlons"

Well this is pretty good news.

Yields must truly be pretty good, as not many AThlon 500's around.

I guess 550-650 is sweetspot.

And remember an Athlon 600 outperforms a PIII 733/camino/rdram combo.

Truly amazing.

Could be a decent AMD christmas!!!

regards,

Kash
