That's a really good question. I don't recall reading anything either about push technology. Not sure this answers the question appropriately, but maybe this has something to do with it: phone.com UP.Web UP.Web is an HTML-based interface to the UP.Link platform that allows carriers to deploy a Web site providing subscribers with access to pertinent information from a PC Web browser. Subscribers can easily access, manage and update their personal information and settings for UP.Organizer and UP.Mail, stored on the operator's UP.Link Server. The privacy and protection of subscriber data is ensured through the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Operators have full control over the first page subscribers see and can easily communicate important changes to services or advertise and sell new features. Users are also able to manage their UP.Organizer Address Book contacts, create and update the UP.Organizer Calendar appointments, form UP.Organizer To-Do lists, manage UP.Bookmarks and use the UP.Directory to discover services they may want to access from their phone.
