The G4 with it 128 bit processor may prove to be a PC competitor since you are able to run any version of Microsoft Windows using Virtual PC software and still outperform the fastest Pentium III.

Wrong on a couple of counts - much SW breaks on the emulator and most I have tried is a lot slower than even a PIII 450 let alone faster stuff. Also G4 is 128 bit memory path not 128 bit data - CPQ XEON server designs are also 128 bit memory path as are some PIII designs, that's just a memory hierarchy issue.

Seems like you're a MAC fan - best of luck but it's still the same dead end it was a few years ago...
