The fact is that you can't use any short data to make judgements about the direction of stock prices. The point I made was that shorting is superficial. It doesn't represent an intent to hold. 90% of shorts don't hold short. People must hold short or long in order to secure supply and demand respectively. It's in the "respectively" that I suggest you comprehend, because that is the only worthwhile information and it was the true point of my previous post. You have to understand how the specialist's book works to make sense of "respectively". I think I'm alone in SI about that.
