Barry,

<I've been hearing and reading about this guy being 16 for about 3 years already. >

Your comment reminded me that he actually had his birthday on the web page as June 26, 1982 (the week that E.T. hit the theaters which I would agree with as it was the week I was driving cross country moving from Fla to Calif -- I went to see E. T. in a theater in Beaumont Texas, I believe it was). He also said on his page that he's 16 but I didn't check his math. He would have turned 17 three months ago.

<How about comparisons of some real world uses ala the kind of thing Pat Gelsinger was showing the audience at IDF - audio mining, for example. I'd love to be able to search an audio file for specific references. Gelsinger called this an extremely computationally intensive task.>

You saw that too. I read it in the speech posted on the Intel site (incidentally, the speech appears to be duplicated in the posting, so RDRAM was only mentioned half as many times as was previously counted, I think). It must have been pretty awesome. I know that I could use it -- we have many presentations in which questions come up and actions get issued and I'd love to be able to record them and search them later for a specific issue or question.
