scandal revolving around the evolution of the horse

I'm not sure I know what scandal you mean.

In the early 1980s I was visiting Los Angeles and went to a very beautiful fundamental bible college. Immaculate lawns and flowers and stunning white rock architecture. Had a great escort of three young men who followed us everywhere but said not a word. Anyway, we toured the science building and they had some diarama exhibits about evolution. They had a cast of the "human" footprint found with the dinosaur tracks in Glen Rose Tx, diagrams of the complexity of an eye and how it could not function with even a minor change, and little miniature models of the history of the horse. Their complaint was that some fossil bones for an early horse were found in rocks that were not buried as deeply as fossil bones for a horse from a later period.
What they did not take into account was that the rocks containing these bones had been twisted and shifted by the rise of the Rocky Mountains in the interviening few million years.
