I wonder if you have diabetes. Someone I know was treated for low thyroid. She never got any better. She went to an endocrinologist in Louisville that my doc in Seattle recommended. It turned out she is diabetic. She enrolled in a special diet program. She lost 40 pounds. She does not take medication. Have you ever had your thyroid checked by a specialist? Insomnia can be a side effect of a thyroid problem. And it's mighty hard for doctors to diagnose a thyroid problem. It seems they also may have problems diagnosing diabetes. Louisville isn't that far away. This doc is suppose to be excellent.
