Bill, did you ever get rid of NN?

Oracle reported earnings today. They are in line. Stock has dropped in after hours trading. I think it is a good company. I have a few shares.

If it drops back significantly, you might want to buy. Oracle's CEO is tough but he's been slow into pushing the company into e-commerce.

He sees strong earnings for the rest of the year, however:

Here's an excerpt:

"Oracle, by its own admission, has been slower than some in transforming itself into an electronic business. But now it says it expects 80 percent of its total sales to come from its new Web store within 18 months. Ellison also reiterated his belief that Oracle can save $1 billion a year by moving to e-business.

Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Oracle also said that first-quarter software license and other revenue rose 9 percent from a year ago. Database software sales increased 8 percent to $443 million and applications software sales increased 11 percent to $109 million. Services revenue climbed 16 percent versus to $1.35 billion.

``Based on our current pipelines, the entire management team believes that the overall year should be very strong,' said Larry Ellison, chief executive and chairman, in a statement. 'Specifically, we expect that Oracle's software sales will grow faster this year than last, and margins should continue to improve as well.'

Oracle stock fell $0.31 to $45.44 on the Nasdaq, still close to its record high of $46.94 reached last week. Oracle reported results after the close of U.S. trading."

M....

PS: It's so damn hot here that I can't go outside! :(
