It must be the sales of PCs that's going 'BANANAS'. Don't you think that's what driving memory chips up? Should be a big positive for Intel.

That's something to pay attention to over the next few months. Carl's point in response about BOOMING PC sales is an optimistic spin on the situation.

I did like Kumar's view of the future and his positive comments on Intel's server business. I'm sure happy about the commitments to Merced of the other OS's in light of his MSFT comments.

The interesting thing is that for those buying Intel PIII machines made by DELL for instance, the impact of paying 2,600 vs $2,700 is less a factor than for poor little AMD. The guy buying the $800 Athlon machine may balk at paying $900.
