Could someone possibly help me with an understanding of how the $TICK works? I am under the impression it is like a miniature "real time" A/D line for the NYSE. Is this true? I just started playing with it and plotted a 20EMA of the graph and it seemed to work very similar as a leading indicator to SPZ9 (S&P futures). What does the "change" number represent? What does the "last" number represent? Twice today the TICK went positive but the change and last were both in the negative 300ish range. What gives? Help!!! Thanks. Matt
