Chucker - re: "Yup, that could effect AMD's low-end/mid-range sales until Intel has something to offer at the high-end. "

Intel has MILLIONS of CPUs at the HIGH END.

Do you think the MILLIONS of customers are going to stop and wait until next year some time to see if AMD has enough Athlon's to go around ?

Or do you think the millions of Intel customers will decide to BID UP the price on the few hundred thousand K7's that AMD can manage to squeeze out over the next 6 months ?

And wait again for some kinda motherboard to plug them into?

In case you hadn't noticed, a 600 MHz Pentium /// is infinitley faster than a 650 MHz Athlon that either can't be obtained or can't be plugged into a motherboard.

Hint: AVAILABILITY SELLS (Engel's Law) - Promises DON'T Sell.
