I think this man may well be a genius. He may well have solved the "riddle of the ages." I for one would love to go to the Antarctic on a search for the fabled Atlantis. You know what? I think we'd find it!!!!

(Remember, that is similar to how Heinrich Schliemann, the amateur German archeologist discovered Troy -- by listening to the legends, researching the stories and reading Homer's tale as fact, not fiction. University professors and established archeologists ridiculed him as a crackpot... right up until the time he proved THEY were idiots!!)
